What a Location!

Yoho National Park is a nature lover's paradise. On the western side of the continental divide, bordering Banff National Park, Yoho boasts 28 rugged mountain peaks, each towering over 10,000 feet. The park’s landscape is breathtaking with deep canyons, expansive glaciers and ice fields, alpine meadows, and turquoise lakes. Thundering rivers and waterfalls add to the already mesmerizing scenery, making Yoho National Park an unforgettable destination for adventurers and nature enthusiasts.

In 1984, the Burgess Shale UNESCO World Heritage Site, Yoho National Park, and six other contiguous parks were collectively designated the ‘Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks’ UNESCO World Heritage site. The Burgess Shale fossiliferous site, renowned for its exquisitely detailed remains of Cambrian soft-bodied marine animals, is a significant attraction. Other popular spots in Yoho include Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, Takakkaw Falls, Wapta Falls, Hoodoos, Laughing Falls, Twin Falls, Spiral Tunnels, Sherbrooke Lake, the Iceline Trail, Paget Peak, the Great Divide, Lake McArthur, and Lake O'Hara.

Yoho National Park is centrally located to Golden, the Icefields Parkway, Lake Louise, and Banff, making it an ideal location for tourists exploring the Canadian Rockies.
